## Evolution

# How our technology evolved

We started with conventional surveying and scanned metric photographs. Since then we have added technology whenever it made the work in the field or in the office better. These are the milestones.

## Timeline

## From the total station to artificial intelligence

Each stage added a technology without retiring the one before. Today they work together in one geospatial workflow, from the field to the engineering deliverable.

    2000

    ### Digital photogrammetry from analog cameras

Conventional topographic surveys and orthophotos. Photogrammetry was already digital, working from color scans of the metric photographs.

2. 2

    2005

    ### Survey supervision on large mining projects

Permanent survey crews stationed at the mine: the start of the supervision and quality assurance line that today follows the works from start to finish.

3. 3

    2009

    ### Surveys with GNSS-RTK

Real-time differential satellite positioning changed how much a crew could survey in one shift, starting at operating mines.

4. 4

    2010

    ### First digital aerial camera

Our first digital aerial camera closed the loop: fully digital photogrammetry, with no film and no intermediate scanning.

5. 5

    2011

    ### Digital photogrammetric restitution

We moved our restitution systems from analog to digital, with collaborative digitizing and LCD stereo monitors.

    ### ISO 9001:2008 certification

On April 23, 2012, we obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification: our technical growth came under an audited quality management system.

    ### Marca País Perú licensees

Through PROMPERÚ we received the institutional license to use the Marca País Perú, in Peru and abroad.

    ### Commercial aviation operator: aerial work

On July 26, 2013, Peru's civil aviation authority (DGAC) granted Global Mapping its air operator certificate under RAP 91. Since then we fly our own campaigns.

     ### Terrestrial LiDAR scanning on site

Terrestrial LiDAR scanning joined our project work: engineering detail on structures, slopes and work faces, tied to the same geodetic reference as the flight.

     ### Second aerial camera, with infrared

On February 28, 2018, we renewed the certification in its 2015 version, with the geomatics services in scope.
